Who are we?
The Edgewood PTA Child Care Program, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that helps many working families in our school community by providing before- and after- school childcare. We pride ourselves on being able to offer affordable childcare on a sliding-scale-fee basis.
The after school program
Children have choices to do homework, play, and engage in physical activities, quiet/rest activities, arts activities, and academics in the context of a relaxing “out-of-school” atmosphere. They participate in a range of informal activities to form a sense of community. They have nutritious daily snacks. The environment accommodates a wide range of needs and interests. The childcare staff is well trained and maintains a ratio of one adult for every 10 children. The program is designed for the children of parents who need childcare while they work, or attend school or job training programs.
